Many people get caught up in one system, one technique and rarely step out of those shoes. I hope you will join me in the hare's journey and hop aroud exploring many avenues. I love to explore, investigate and share ideas. I am open to hearing about

As we find our way in the world and discover what is important, there is often the gap of what to do next or where do I find more people like me. I hope to fill some of those gaps.
I am not yet sure where I am going with this. I guess you could say I am just getting my land legs after months adrift.
One idea I read about many years ago was about a community that was getting smaller and they needed teachers, shop keepers and people interested in living in a small town. This community was not yet ready to give up, so they started an ad campaign. They had many replies to their ads and as I recall many more than they planned. I read about towns dying as the big guys suck the heart out of the shop keepers and the economic base.
I, in my ignorance and passion, believe we can rebuild our country from the heart out. I sit here in sunny California in a condo and wonder.... what it would be like to take on a project of rebuilding community. I hear about people living here and across the country unhappy with the artificial life style they are living. I know that in a heart beat they would move if they could support themselves and their family. I am challendged by this project and wonder where to begin.

Welcome to an evolution, for when I began this site I was not sure where I was going. I am glad to explore and see where my mind takes me. Fitting in with this whole concept is an idea I have had for THE FARM - A Place Where People and Ideas Grow. This may be the other factor in this whole idea. May some of you join me on this journey.

Over the years I have taken classes on natural building, self-reliance and lots of other techniques. I haven't reached the place where I would say drill here for water but I know people who can do that. We never know where I life will lead and while many of my peers are talking retirement, I am just getting started. Join in as it may be an exciting ride.
